Simple little house two blocks from a sweet beach, easy walk or taxi to the tourist mecca of Guayabitos.

We stayed last season and loved it. Perfect climate from mid-November through April, with warm sunshine, low humidity.
Place is charming inside, plain and boring outside, with secure fence. You pay for propane and power, deal with a neighbor to get the key. Spanish helps but not vital. Cleaning available by arrangement. Full service laundry around the block.
Dishes, pots and pans, linens, etc. supplied but of mediocre quality. Plenty of hot water, microwave, range and fridge. It's located one block off the main business street of La Peñita, a real small Mexican working town with all services including very fine dentists and doctors at prices too low to believe. Grocery, restaurants, clothing, hardware, souvenirs... it's all here. You can live across from Irma's fine cafe, walk everywhere in warm sunshine. For tourist activities, beach crowds, first run films, rowdy Canadian night life and boat excursions, take a $2 taxi to the next village.
If you've traveled widely, you're ready for this non-luxe winter home in a cute town with broken concrete and too few ashcans. It caters to locals but is delighted to have visitors. Large English and French populations six months...hot in humid six months. Many couples live 6 months in their summer home up north and winter here yearly. Bikes for rent, many excursions to regional sights including fabulous birding at nearby San Blas.
We are going to Chile this year, so will let others enjoy this amazing find, probably this season only.
I'm helping the widowed owner find Anglo renters. Her daughter needs tuition $ for medical school.
Town is safer than at home, even at night. We've had locals go to great trouble to return lost items. Nice little Catholic church, community park, local law enforcement.
