Primary Accountabilities:
• Our retained client has an immediate need for a Front End Angular Node.js Developer – Contract.
• You will be responsible for building and maintaining web applications, working on both the client-side user interface using Angular and the server-side logic using Node.js
• You will work closely with architects, integration specialists, and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions in a fully remote environment.
• To be the successful candidate you must be self motivated and willing to learn, and be able to perform comfortably in a fast paced, team and deliverables oriented work environment and possess good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and be sensitive to deadlines and to the impact your work has on an overall project schedule. Experience defining architectural standards, selecting development tools, and driving organization improvements is a big plus.
Some of the key attributes for the role include:
• Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using Angular (front-end) and Node.js (back-end).
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and other engineers to translate designs and business requirements into high-quality code.
• Design and integrate robust, scalable RESTful APIs and other backend services.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and testable code using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security measures across devices and browsers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the full technology stack.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and an Agile development environment.
• Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practice
Education & Experience:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: Proven experience in web development, specifically with Angular and Node.js.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
The successful candidate will be a problem solver who is able to step up and take initiative and to methodically analyze and resolve programming challenges. You are comfortable seeking peer and supervisory guidance on complex application challenges and have a desire to learn, and adapt to new technologies and languages, and to improve your technical skills through ongoing research and development activities.
Key Skills:
- Frontend software developer with strong knowledge and experience with VueJS, Angular, NodeJS programming languages.
- Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5 and CSS3.
- Familiarity with database technologies (PostgreSQL).
- Familiar with software development in OpenShift by using GitHub, GitHub actions.
- Good understanding of application security, UI/UX, accessibility, usability principles
Nice to Have Experience:
• Healthcare, Insurance, or Banking/Finance background
• Prior experience in healthcare, clinical, or regulated environments
• Exposure to security, compliance, or data privacy standards
• Experience working with distributed, remote teams
