Hello, my name is Landry. I'm 28 years old, non-binary, no partners/no pets (but I love animals), sober, looking for an affordable and safe place to stay. My maximum monthly rent/utilities budget is only $500/month, for now. I know that's maybe an insane ask, but it's really all I can afford right now. If it's cheaper, that's all the better. Public transit proximity and centrality is a huge help since I don't drive.
I'm very tidy, handy, respectful, kind, and quiet. I'm a veteran vegan, and I love cooking, so if you'd like someone to cook a cheap veg dinner, I'm happy to do so. I'm also notorious for doing the dishes and keeping the kitchen clean! Been trying to get into crafting, writing, just generally creative things. If folks enjoy making music, I'm sure we'll get along well!
I've been sober for a while now and I intend to keep it that way, but I certainly don't judge! I'm still happy to hang out with a coffee and a cigarette in lieu of a beer and a joint (or whatever). As long as folks aren't exhibiting problematic patterns while under the influence (severe addiction; theft, repeat black-outs, ODs, psychosis, etc), I'll be fine.
I do smoke cigarettes often, but always outside, and I'm respectful about it.
I'm currently on Income Support right now, so unemployed, but I do odd jobs for cash.
I had a place lined up for July 1, but it fell through last-minute. I'm sort of in a tough spot right now, so I just need some solid ground to stand on, and a safe place to live with friendly folks makes for a good foundation to get back on my feet.
I've lived in cramped (or otherwise rough) living spaces before with many roommates at a time, so I don't mind a small and/or even run-down space. If you need stuff fixed, cleaned up, or need extra hands on a project, I've got seven years of experience working at a hardware store, so let me know!
