Used about 12 evenings over 8 months - so it's almost new. Works fine but I have too little time for it.
So why is this "the best deal out there?"
Telescope w. tracker new $2360 Svbony Zoom 7.1mm-21.6 Lens $129 new
8mm Plossl Televue- the good ones (now compare places that actually have one - not the places that promise 6 weeks for $116) so in real life $148 new
Battery $30 and 110V adapter $17 new
Cord and fuse and connectors $15 new
Chrome ball and case $15 new
Moon Lenses $65 new Camera Adapter $10 new
TOTAL: $2360 + $429 = $2789 - BUT MY PRICE IS $2000 - a good deal right? Oh - and no taxes
Everything below included. So for the all-in price is $2000 you get the telescope kit, 2 extra good quality lenses, battery+wire, 110V adapter, moon lenses and a few other goodies. Takes up little space when stored too (see pic). Celestron SE 8 kit includes - telescope 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain - automatic tracker/align with hand control - tripod - extra lens holder - red-dot finder scope - bubble level - 90 degree right angle 1.25” adapter to save your neck muscles - 25mm Plössl lens - its a REALLY CLEAR one and a lot of people online say that too. I compared with really good ones a friend has and this one is indeed better. Also - 4 moon filters 1.25" - do not look at the moon without 2 darkest ones (13%, 25%, 50%) - a super shiny 1.25” ball bearing and cloth case for doing collimation indoors for those < -15 degree nights - 12 V battery and cable - 12V 110V cord adapter when your in your back yard - an electrical split connector if you want to geek out with your computer - Canon camera ring. Needs T adapter for your camera 2 Extra Lenses - Tele Vue Plössl 8mm (EAP-08.0) - so once you have something lined up - swap in this lens!). Its one of the really good reasonable priced ones and not one from a 10 piece kit - SVBONY SV191 Zoom Eyepiece for Telescope, 7.2-21.6mm Zoom Lens (1.25mm telescope) - I like this cause you don’t have to switch lenses. Its a little darker than the 8mm so its good for when you bring the telescope camping - I think it is super and the support right from them was 100% - it was my telescope collimation that was off - once that was tuned - I LOVE THIS LENS I will demo how to do a collimation or a mock one if its in the daytime if you like. It's so easy.
