Wage: $ 35.00 to 38.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 to 40 hours per week
Job Duties:
- Develop and optimize logistics strategies to minimize costs, reduce time delays, and manage the global logistics flow by coordinating various transportation methods (ship, truck, train, etc.) in the export-import process.
- Oversee and coordination logistics operations for the facility in Saskatchewan, ensuring efficient transportation, warehousing, and coordination of inbound and outbound shipments to align with facility-specific needs for seamless supply chain management.
- Oversee shipment schedules, determine the most efficient transportation methods, collaborate with shipping companies and partners for smooth logistics execution, and monitor real-time shipping progress using tracking systems.
- Supervise inventory management within warehouses, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained and coordinating the systematic movement of goods in and out of storage.
- Ensure smooth customs clearance for exports and imports by preparing and submitting necessary documentation, while complying with the regulations and laws of the relevant countries.
- Prepare and manage logistics budgets, tracking and optimizing costs to stay within budget, while developing strategies to reduce costs and maintain efficient logistics operations.
- Address logistics-related issues such as delays, damages, or losses, resolving them promptly, while analyzing supply chain risks and developing solutions to prevent future problems.
- Lead and manage the logistics team by clearly defining roles, fostering effective teamwork, and collaborating with other departments (purchasing, production, sales, etc.) to ensure smooth operations across the supply chain.
- Adjust logistics services to meet customer needs, suggest improvements to enhance service quality, and handle customer complaints and inquiries professionally and promptly.
