Seeking reliable and physically fit Driver Helpers to assist collection drivers with residential and commercial waste collection services in Calgary. This is a hands-on outdoor position requiring frequent lifting, walking, pushing, pulling, and working in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Ride along with Route Drivers on collection routes
Pull and push waste bins from enclosures and gated areas
Assist with loading and emptying waste and recycling containers
Help drivers safely maneuver vehicles during backing operations
Report safety concerns, service issues, and route obstacles
Follow all WM safety procedures and site rules
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (up to 70 lbs occasionally)
Comfortable with repetitive physical labor
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Dependable and punctual for early morning shifts
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Required PPE
Steel-toe safety boots (required)
High-visibility safety vest (required)

Riding in GPS/video-monitored collection vehicles
