The job is very straightforward and requires you to simply show up to various address across Calgary and work alongside a team consisting of 2-5 helpers.
Turf installation is done in a couple very simple steps which the right candidates will be properly trained. Such steps can include:
-digging out 2-6 inches of sod and pre-existing materials (rocks, dirt, grass etc...)
-removal of materials from lawn to trailers for proper disposal
-using compactor and hand tools to flatten the ground
-laying out the rolls of turf and making seems to merge the turf rolls together
It can sometimes be physically demanding with the requirement to lift and carry up to 40-80lbs repetitively (ex. wheelbarrows which can be full with materials). All jobs will require you to be working with a partner which can make things a lot easier. Can apply together with a friend or family member as well. Jobs can vary throughout the month and can expect fairly consistent work throughout the entire month. Every job is different for every client and can be as little as 8-10 hrs on one job which can be finished by a team in 1 day or take 30-40 hrs and take multiple days of work.
Requirements:
- Starting pay will be $25+ if you have pickup and can tow a trailer
- Preferable if you have vehicle for transportation
- Ability to lift heavy items (50lbs+)
- Always punctual, reliable, hardworking and providing excellent customer service
- Strong English, leadership, problem solving skills and attention to details
- Loading and Unloading of the truck with materials
- Understanding our customer's requirements and execution of job duties and responsibilities above and beyond their expectations.
