Position: Food Services Manager
Wage: $ 25.00 to $36.00 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per Week
Job Duties:
• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth coordination between kitchen and front-of-house staff, while monitoring food preparation, presentation, and service to maintain authenticity, quality, and consistency of Korean dishes.
• Collaborate with the chef to regularly update the menu, taste and evaluate dishes, and introduce seasonal or specialty Korean dishes, such as regional specialties or festive dishes, to attract and retain customers.
• Address customer complaints and special requests promptly, ensuring a high-quality and satisfying dining experience, with attention to dietary preferences and cultural customs.
• Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations by maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, scheduling sanitation and pest control procedures, and training staff on food safety and allergy awareness, particularly regarding raw ingredients like meats, seafood, and fermented products common in Korean cuisine.
• Manage the procurement and inventory of essential Korean ingredients, including high-quality meats, seafood, rice, kimchi, seasonings (such as gochujang, doenjang, and sesame oil), and banchan (side dishes), by maintaining strong vendor relationships, ensuring proper storage, minimizing waste, and accurately tracking stock levels to meet restaurant needs.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff, including chefs, kitchen assistants, and servers, ensuring adherence to food handling and hygiene standards, traditional Korean service etiquette, and dining customs (such as table settings and serving techniques), while motivating the team and managing performance.
• Oversee marketing initiatives, such as social media, advertising, and local promotions, to increase brand visibility and customer engagement, with a focus on highlighting Korean culture, flavors, and dining experiences.
• Manage restaurant finances by overseeing budgets and payroll, controlling costs, monitoring sales, preparing financial reports, and handling POS systems and daily cashouts.
