Offered for sale is my beloved 2015 Ford Focus ST (with the top of the line ST-3 trim) which includes every available possible option on this car, including the incredible power/heated (full) leather Recaro seats, heated steering wheel, moonroof, ambient lighting, dual zone climate control, SYNC 2 infotainment system and much more. The car is also professionally ceramic coated. To my surprise, the treatment seems to leave it impervious to getting dirty!? Basically if there's an option available, it will have it, and everything works exactly as it should. The car needs nothing.
It's finished, in my opinion, in the best color available - Performance Blue Metallic. From the research I've done at the time of posting, this seems to be the only one in this color/spec for sale in the country! And if you didn't know already, these were only available with a six-speed manual transmission. If you're looking for an automatic or a DSG, sorry.
If you know about the ST's, you're already familiar with the numbers - but if not, the turbo 2.0L EcoBoost develops 252 horsepower and 270 ft lb of torque. Out of the box these are incredibly capable machines and quick enough to appease anybody's leadfoot. But the car has been very tastefully and subtly modified with a fairly extensive and well thought out list of enhancements that take a fantastic car and tweak it to make it just that much better. Of course, I do have the full list that I can send you. Nothing that affects the drivability/reliability, and the engine has never been taken apart or 'dived into' by way more aggressive mods. They are more along the lines of suspension & exhaust/breathing enhancements, and cosmetic tweaks - and a mild 'off the shelf' tune by way of Stratified. Said to result in just under 300hp. Includes the COBB tuner as well. As well, the sound system had been tastefully upgraded.
This is a two owner car, the original having it the bulk of its ownership for the first 9+ years. The vehicle has all service history from day one, and has been fastidiously maintained. Like myself, the original owner was older and this was his 'hobby', but the car was never abused. I'm 56 and I absolutely baby this car. As well, I'm hyper-proactive/ocd with taking care of my cars. It's nice to know the power and potential is there but I rarely push the car anywhere near its limits. It drives absolutely phenomenally and makes you smile every time you get behind the wheel. If you've never experienced Fords hot hatches, you will be very happily surprised. I'm not kidding when I say the vehicle drives like new.
This is one of those (rare!) cars that ticks my top 10 list. These are - power, roadholding, steering response, utility/practicality, eye appeal, reliability, fuel mileage, luxuries/toys, low cost of service/parts and exclusivity. Of course these are all subjective so you may not agree, but I honestly feel that for the money these are an incredibly hard car to beat.
The vehicle has average mileage based on Canadian statistics (20K per year) It currently sits at 212,000 km. As mentioned, the previous owner as well as myself are absolutely fastidious with maintenance. The car needs nothing as it sits, and mechanically and cosmetically the vehicle is in excellent condition.
Work performed in the last 10K -
-new battery
-new iridium spark plugs
-replaced valve cover gasket
-fuel injector flush/valve cleaning service
-new motor mounts (all 3)
-new rear shocks
-new front brakes
-last synthetic oil service August 1st (next due in approx. 4000 kms)
-a few other minor suspension components
I don't think you will be disappointed if you're seriously looking for one of these. Like I said, the modifications aren't going to hurt the vehicle in any way and have been very selectively chosen by the original owner. He considered this to be a blank canvas and made this car as good as it could be without getting a larger turbo or going crazy with tearing apart the engine.
You're probably wondering why I would sell it if I'm so crazy about the car? I do have an opportunity to buy what I consider an affordable dream car, and they don't come up very often.
I am selling the car for $16450. Inspections are more than welcome as are test drives, providing of course you're comfortable with the manual. But please, serious enquiries only.
