Vintage Thermador Car Cooler for Sale. Made in Los Angeles by the Thermador Electric Manufacturing Company in the early 1950’s. This automotive evaporative cooling device (swamp cooler) is a real survivor and 100% original. The Bonderite (Parker Rust Proofing) and AFL-CIO union made stickers still partially adorn the unit’s window stop. The only piece missing is the support rod, which can be easily retrofitted. The unit weighs 10.3 lbs, and measures approximately 12” wide by 19.25” long (the front air intake tube is 7.75” in diameter). Used, but in excellent condition for a 70+ year-old automotive air conditioner.
