CRL Synergy is looking for a detail orientated and enthusiastic Financial Analyst or Intermediate Accountant to join our office team. Our ideal candidate has previously worked in an accounting role before and has previously demonstrated accountability in their day-to-day work.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Full Cycle Accounting
Review and analyze monthly invoices, credit memos, and bills to ensure accurate and correct classification of transactions.
Propose month end adjustments and update month end reconciliations.
Review Gross Margin on Sales and report on any variances between budget and expectation.
Review Shareholder Loan Transactions, discuss and report on changes to shareholder loans.
Ensure GST, Payroll Remittances, and Corporate Tax Instalments have been made on time and accurately.
Month End Reporting
Prepare and Draft Month End Reporting Requirements for external third parties.
Review monthly variances in financial performance and provide discussion notes on shortfalls and overages.
Update Capital Budget for changes to overhead and equipment additions.
Comply with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
Review system generate month end schedules for accuracy.
Prepare managerial costing estimates for new projects.
Review existing business processes and provide recommendations for accounting policies and procedures.
Liaison with Third Party Financial Institutions. Oversee the integration of third-party systems with internal systems.
Review changes to underlying estimates of product lifecycle and propose recommendations for inventory write offs.
Prepare Year End and Month End supporting working papers.
The following experience and qualifications are desirable for a candidate:
3 to 5 years of experience with Full Cycle Accounting
A bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, commerce, or a related field.
Interested in or have started the Professional Accounting Education as directed by the CPA Canada.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is considered an asset.
Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
Advanced working knowledge of Office 365 and the Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint).
Proven work experience where self management was required.
Experience working with organizations who deal with multiple currencies in the normal course of business.
