Accounting Clerk - CALGARY, AB

CRL Synergy works with subcontractors and vendors to distribute private label products under commonly known brand names.

CRL Synergy is looking for a detail orientated and enthusiastic Accounting Clerk to join our office team. Our ideal candidate has previously worked in an accounting role before and has previously demonstrated accountability in their day-to-day work.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Accounts Receivable
    • Prepare and generate invoices for our trading partners.
    • Record cheque and electronic payments using our financial institutions digital system.
    • Record credit memos and deductions from trading partners. Follow up with trading partners when deductions are not valid.
    • Reconcile trading partner accounts, verify discrepancies, and resolving any related billing issues with our trading partners.


  • Accounts Payable
    • Record and review vendor bills into our ERP System. Save backup for billing transactions into our file folders.
    • Prepare and request authorization for payments to our vendors.
    • Monitor Accounts Payable Accounts to ensure that vendors are paid on a timely basis.


  • Compliance
    • Assist with the draft preparation of GST Returns.
    • Assist with the draft preparation of Bank Reconciliations.
    • Assist with Physical Inventory Counts and employing count procedures.
    • Assist with other data entry as required.
    • Assist with processing expense reports from employees.
    • File supporting documents digitally for all recorded transactions.

The following experience and qualifications are desirable for a candidate:

  • Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution or near completion.
  • Previous experience in accounts payable considered an asset.
  • Proficient in the use of computer programs (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) Systems.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills to simultaneously handle and prioritize multiple tasks/projects
  • Experience working with organizations who deal with multiple currencies in the normal course of business.
